One of the greatest things about living in the Northeast is the change of seasons – Autumn, in particular. Last weekend I took this photo while enjoying a lazy Sunday afternoon devouring a plate of Three Cheese & Spinach Stuffed Shells and watching football.
Okay, fine. Maybe I was taking a nap during football…
Hubs and I loveddddd our family’s annual apple picking (plus, cider hot dogs, hot cinnamon-sugar donuts, pumpkin picking, hot cider) frenzy!
It’s getting a little cold now, but we’ve been loving all of the backyard fires. Toasted marshmallows are SO. GOOD.
I had a little bit of excitement the first weekend in November. I went on a 36-hour work trip to Los Angeles that ended up being a total whirlwind but so much fun!
I arrived at LAX just in time for the November 1st shooting. Luckily I was outside terminal 3 and not in terminal 7 where the actual shooting happened. Still scary with a dozen helicopters circling overhead and the airport completely shutting down, but I made it out okay!
Crazy that I was also at LAX for the last shooting in July 2002. Hubs and my parents basically told me I’m not allowed to go to California anymore. Love them.
But that Friday night… after touring private suites for a potential work function, we were given free Lakers tickets! Yeah! My very first professional basketball game. In a suite. That’s pretty sweet. (get it? get it?)
I was lucky enough for a drive-by tour of some LA hot spots along our way to Anaheim. Including… Beverly Hills. Gah! The sign looks just like it does in the movies!
And the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel from one of my favorite movies, Pretty Woman!
Then I met Josh Altman of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing. Nice guy!
And before my red eye home, visited drop-dead gorgeous Laguna Beach to…
Put my toes in the Pacific Ocean… which was probably my most favorite part of the trip…
…and have some guac and cocktails. No big deal. 🙂
There you have a little taste of my crazy life! I promise my life is not normally this glamourous!
[…] can’t believe my first Bites of Life post was a month ago! But looking at those red and orange trees, yeah, it’s been a long time since […]
