This was never meant to be a blog post, just part of my work lunch! But with strawberries on sale this week, I’m already on my second container and LOVING the yogurt I’m making! It’s so delicious, I’m obsessed!
So far I’ve had this for breakfast, but also as a mid-afternoon snack. The sweet strawberries are so satisfying when you’re eyeing around for that 3 o’clock pick-me-up. And the Greek yogurt with all its protein fills you up. I’m writing this at 6:30 p.m. and I’m still not hungry for dinner.
Plus, it goes without saying… juicy, sweet strawberries in January… c’mon, it’s like a glimpse into summer. Ah, just another two months until Daylight Savings Time (March 10 to be exact)! It will be so nice to have a few hours of sunshine once I get home from work… tonight I’ll be dreaming about coconut scented sunscreen, floppy hats and salty air…
- 1 cup of non-fat vanilla Greek yogurt (brands I like: Wegman’s, Trader Joe’s or Chobani)
- 6 juicy red strawberries, quartered or sliced thin
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- Put the yogurt in a bowl or to-go container.
- Top with cinnamon, followed by strawberries.
