The Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris has criticized a draft

Supreme Court decision that would reverse federal abortion rights.

"How dare they," she said Tuesday at the national EMILY'S List conference

"How dare they attempt to take away women's rights and freedoms.

The draft decision, which was leaked Monday night, would overturn the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion in the U.S.

Several Republican leaders want to return us to an era before Roe v. Wade, before Obergefell v. Hodges, and before Griswold v

Connecticut," Harris said, referring to the 2015 decision legalizing gay marriage nationwide.

"We aren't going back. There's no point in going back."“We’re not going back. We are not going back,” the vice president declared.

“Let us fight for our country, and for the principles upon which it was founded, and let us fight with everything we have got,” she said.
